Setting Up and Managing Quizzes in IQRALMS

Setting up quizzes in IQRALMS involves several steps to create and manage assessments within your course.

The process of setting up and managing quizzes in IQRALMS applies to educators, instructors, and course administrators who use IQRALMS as their learning management system (LMS) to create assessments for students within their courses.

Process: Setting Up and Managing Quizzes in IQRALMS

Accessing Quiz Setup:

  • Log into your IQRALMS course and turn editing on.


  • Navigate to “MyCourses” and enable edit mode.


  • Select “Quiz” from the Add an activity or resource to create a new quiz.

Naming and Describing the Quiz:

  • Provide a name and optional description for the quiz.


  • Expand other sections to configure settings like time limits, attempts allowed, and 

Grading options. The default settings allow students to move freely between questions.




Adding Questions:

  • Click on “Add” and choose either ‘+ a new question’ to create questions directly or ‘+ from question bank’ to reuse pre-existing questions.
  • Select the question type (e.g., multiple-choice, short answer) and add your question. Use the IQRALMS documentation for assistance with different question types.


Configuring Quiz Options:

  • After adding questions, click “Save changes” to save your progress.
  • Adjust the maximum grade to reflect the total points available for the quiz based on the number of questions.


Taking the Quiz:

  • Students can flag questions to signal issues or uncertainties to the teacher.
  • To complete the quiz and view scores (if enabled), students click “Submit all and finish” on the Summary of attempt page.

Teacher Preview:

  • Before releasing the quiz to students, preview it to ensure proper display and functionality.
  • Review quiz grades by accessing the quiz and clicking on “Attempts” or using the “Results” link from the Actions menu.

Managing Grades:

  • Monitor student attempts and grades through the IQRALMS interface.
  • Access detailed results and analytics to track student performance and assess learning outcomes effectively.

Finalizing and Editing:

  • Make any necessary adjustments to quiz settings or questions based on student feedback or assessment results.
  • Save changes and update quiz configurations as needed throughout the course.
