My research interests encompass a wide range of topics within the field of Physical Therapy, including:
Dr. Saad Saleem (PT) has spent over two decades dedicated to advancing Physical Therapy education and practice, gathering a wealth of experience and accomplishments along the way.
His academic journey began in Karachi, Pakistan, where he taught a multiple Physical Therapy courses to undergraduate DPT and graduate students at Ziauddin University. Dr. Saleem (PT) employed various teaching methodologies to engage students, fostering an environment conducive to learning. He also actively participated in curriculum development, ensuring alignment with international standards and emerging trends in higher education.
During his tenure at Liaquat National Hospital, Dr. Saleem (PT) served as a Senior Lecturer and Senior Physiotherapist, where he supervised clinical education classes and provided exemplary care to patients with neuromusculoskeletal and cardiopulmonary conditions. His commitment to academic research led to the publication of impactful papers in scholarly journals, contributing to the advancement of the field.
Transitioning to Eastern College, Canada, Dr. Saleem (PT) continued to excel as an instructor, developing comprehensive course outlines and assessments for Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant programs. His dedication to student success extended beyond the classroom, as he provided career counseling and guidance to aspiring therapists.
Upon returning to Pakistan, Dr. Saleem (PT) assumed leadership roles at Iqra University, where he served as an Assistant Professor and HOD. In these capacities, he played a pivotal role in managing academic affairs, collaborating with other department heads, and shaping departmental strategies to enhance the student experience. His efforts to improve the clinical experience of students and patients led to the development of advanced teaching methodologies and installation of state-of-the-art Physical Therapy labs.
As an active member of the academic community, Dr. Saleem (PT) has been involved in various research projects, focusing on topics such as Neurological Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and Musculoskeletal Therapy. He has also represented his institutions at national and international conferences, sharing his expertise and contributing to the global discourse on Physical Therapy.
In addition to his academic responsibilities, Dr. Saleem (PT) has been actively engaged in administrative and global engagement initiatives. At both Iqra University and Ziauddin University, he has played integral roles in managing departmental operations, developing curriculum, and fostering partnerships with external stakeholders. His leadership and strategic vision have been instrumental in promoting cooperation and enhancing the overall academic experience.
Throughout his career, Dr. Saleem (PT) has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to excellence in Physical Therapy education and practice. His passion for lifelong learning and compassionate care continues to drive his efforts to make a positive impact in the field, both locally and globally.
