Areeja Shahid, studied for her Master’s in Psychology after finishing her undergraduate degree. She received the renowned Gold Medal for her exceptional achievement in her Master of Philosophy (MPhil) program, demonstrating her academic dedication.
Currently, Areeja is pursuing her doctorate in psychology. She is particularly interested to the field of trauma psychology, which is the topic of her dissertation research. She is a certified clinical trauma specialist and EMDR practionner.
In addition to her clinical practice, Areeja finds joy in teaching and research. Areeja’s work is primarily driven by a strong belief in the resiliency of the human spirit. Her guiding principle is the notion that suffering may be turned into a chance for development and healing if it is greeted with compassion and understanding.
