Industrial Visit to Sui Southern Gas Company Limited: A Step Toward Strategic Collaboration
On December 13, 2024, Dr. Sameer, Director of IU ORIC, and Ms. Zareesh, Manager of IU ORIC, visited Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) as part of the ongoing Industrial Visit Drive. The purpose of this visit was to explore potential avenues for collaboration and strengthen ties between academia and industry.
During the visit, SSGC expressed a strong interest in engaging with IU ORIC on a variety of industry-related projects. These included the implementation of smart metering systems, conducting survey projects for students, and the development of short-term paid assignments that could provide valuable experience for students.
In addition to these project-based collaborations, SSGC also extended an invitation for students to apply for internships within the company. These internships would not only provide students with hands-on industry experience but also offer stipends, lunch, and transport allowances to the selected candidates.
