The fiscal year 2024–25 turned into a landmark period for IU ORIC, with intellectual property taking center stage. Throughout the year, ORIC remained focused on the significance of securing IP, arranging awareness sessions, workshops, and speaker events in collaboration with IPO Pakistan. These initiatives not only clarified procedures but also inspired faculty, FYP students, and budding inventors to actively think about protecting their work.
The effort paid off. By the close of the fiscal year, IU ORIC observed the successful filing of more than 30 intellectual property rights, including designs, copyrights, and trademarks. Each filing represents not just a document but the safeguarding of creativity and innovation that originated within the IU community.
From guiding first-time innovators to supporting high-potential research projects, FY 2024–25 showcased how consistent awareness and structured support can translate ideas into protected assets. The year stands as a success story of IU ORIC’s commitment to building a culture where innovation is nurtured and legally secured.
