Iqra University has taken another significant step in strengthening its global academic presence by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Spectrum International University College, Malaysia, on August 29, 2025. This collaboration reflects Iqra University’s ongoing commitment to providing its students with world-class opportunities and an international learning experience.
The MoU signing was attended by senior representatives from both institutions, including Dr. Jamal Zaidi, Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics at Spectrum International University College, along with Dr. M. Zaki Rashidi, Dean of Iqra University Business School (IUBS), Mr. Aseem Majid Rizvi, Registrar, and Ms. Humaira Anwar, Head of Internationalisation at Iqra University. During the meeting, Dr. Jamal Zaidi highlighted the increasing trend of Pakistani students opting for Malaysia for higher education, given the challenges many face in gaining access to Western universities. He emphasised how collaborations such as this can open accessible, high-quality academic pathways for students.
The MoU is centred around joint online sessions for students and faculty, academic collaborations between the two institutions, and strengthening internationalisation initiatives at Iqra University. Through this partnership, both universities aim to enhance student mobility, promote cultural exchange, and create expanded research opportunities that will benefit the academic community as a whole.
This agreement is not just a formal document; it represents a vision of preparing Iqra University students for the demands of a globally interconnected world. By fostering such partnerships, the university reaffirms its mission of equipping students with the tools, exposure, and experiences they need to excel beyond borders. At Iqra University, we strongly believe that education is about creating opportunities that empower students to transform their futures with confidence and purpose.
