Chairman PMYP, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan Unveils Vision for Youth at Iqra University

Demonstrating a strong commitment to youth empowerment and national progress, Iqra University (IU) hosted a landmark event centred around the ‘Digital Youth Hub,’ uniting academia, and government to discuss forward-looking initiatives supporting innovation, employability, and national cohesion.

The event opened with a welcome address by honorable Vice Chancellor of Iqra University, Prof. Dr. Nassar Ikram, who celebrated the institution’s ever-growing impact:

“With several graduates across 8 campuses, and numerous industrial linkages and international collaborations, Iqra University continues to shape the future. Our mission is to provide access, excellence, and innovation—building a generation that leads with courage and determination.”

Highlighting IU’s transformative efforts under the ‘Digital Youth Hub’ initiative, Dr. Mansoor Ebrahim from Faculty of Engineering, Science and Technology (FEST) presented the university’s multifaceted approach to empowering youth across four key pillars: Education, Employment & Entrepreneurship, Engagement, and Environment.

“We’re not just imagining the future—we’re building it,” said Dr. Mansoor. “From AI & Machine Learning programs to our Gen-AI Labs and projects like AI-driven Smart Hydroponic Farming and Emotion-based Music Generation, IU is preparing youth for the next frontier of global challenges.”

Following the academic vision, Coordinator – Prime Minister Youth Program (PMYP) for Sindh, Mr. Fahad Shafiq emphasized the urgency of implementing inclusive programs:

“We often talk about the deprivation of youth in Sindh—but conversation alone isn’t enough. When Mr. Mashhood chaired the Prime Minister Youth Program, he entrusted me with Sindh to help bridge this gap. Today, through collaborative platforms like the ‘Digital Youth Hub,’ we are creating tangible change.”

Taking the stage, Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program, Mr. Rana Mashhood, delivered a powerful address, revealing national-level developments:

“The future of Pakistan lies in sincere investment in its youth. That is why we are bringing Pakistan’s first-ever ‘National Youth Employment Policy’ and ‘National Youth & Adolescence Policy.’ These are not just policies—they are movements. Moreover, I strongly urge Iqra University to fully integrate with the ‘Digital Youth Hub.’ This is about national cohesion and collective progress.”

The event concluded with the screening of a series of impactful short videos showcasing the Prime Minister Youth Program’s achievements, followed by presentation of tokens of appreciation to the esteemed guests.
