Iqra University, Karachi, proudly hosted a successful two-day Graduate Program Review by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) on January 30th and 31st, 2025. The two-day evaluation, conducted under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nassar Ikram, demonstrated our institution’s commitment to maintaining excellence in higher education.
The review, meticulously coordinated by the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) with support from the Registrar’s Office and academic leadership across Business, Engineering, Education, and Media and Fashion faculties, encompassed a thorough assessment of our MS, MPhil, and PhD programs.
Rigorous Evaluation Process
The first day of the review focused on academic documentation, where the HEC team conducted an extensive analysis of program files. This scrutiny covered crucial aspects including curriculum design, faculty qualifications, research contributions, and student learning outcomes. The evaluation ensured alignment with both national and international academic benchmarks.
On the second day, the site visits were more comprehensive and the review team visited the university’s advanced facilities. The team evaluated postgraduate laboratories, research centers, and the university library to find out the quality of resources and infrastructure that is offered to graduate students. One could see tangible evidence of Iqra University’s dedication to providing an excellent learning environment for advanced studies through these visits.
