Iqra University has achieved great success at the 26th Men’s and 10th Women’s All Pakistan HEC Shooting Championship 2024-25, held at the Lahore Garrison Shooting Gallery. The event, which featured 11 universities in the men’s category and 12 in the women’s, showcased Iqra University’s talented and dedicated shooters.
The men’s team secured the runner up position, demonstrating their hard work and passion. Additionally, Iqra University emerged as the champion in Air Rifle, thanks to the skill and determination of their shooters. Anas Rafi broke his own previous HEC Intervarsity record in Air Rifle, achieving a new high of 615 points as an individual, bagging a Gold Medal while Humayoun received a Silver Medal in Air Rifle.
In the women’s category, Nubaira Babar set a new HEC Intervarsity record for women in Air Pistol, breaking the previous record with an impressive 555 points. This remarkable achievement highlights the exceptional talent within the women’s team.
These outstanding performances are a testament to the dedication of the student-athletes, the consistent support from faculty and staff, and the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of sportsmanship and excellence.
