Interfaith Harmony and Contemporary Challenges

Iqra University hosted a seminar on September 11, 2024, to commemorate the Islamic month Rabi-ul-Awwal, titled “Interfaith Harmony and Contemporary Challenges in the Light of Sirat-un-Nabi (PBUH).”

The seminar focused on enlightening students about the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) during the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. Dr. Nisar Akhtar organised this event, which featured well-known speakers, including Mufti Muhammad Zubair, a Member of the Islamic Ideology Council; Dr. Mufti Rasheed Ahmed Khurshid, Assistant Professor; and Mufti Zubair Ashraf, Senior Mufti at Jamia Dar-ul-Uloom.

Qari Saeed-ur-Rehman commenced the seminar with a mesmerising Quranic recitation, followed by a beautiful Naat. The event, hosted by Amir Ahmed Usmani, focused on various characteristics of Islamic teachings and their importance to present-day societal challenges.

The need to instill Islamic principles in children, the place of individuals in society, and the notion that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) ought to be the archetypal figure for our children were all discussed during the session. The speakers inspired the kids to use their optimistic outlook to improve society as well.

All in all, the seminar opened everyone’s eyes to the importance of revising their ideas and abiding by the Prophet’s (PBUH) instructions.
