Iqra University Empowers Students with Knowledge to Combat Obesity

Iqra University’s Health and Fitness Society addressed a critical public health issue with a thought-provoking panel discussion titled “Obesity Wellness Wave.” The event featured a distinguished panel of experts from Liaquat National Hospital, including Chief Guest Dr. Saqib Ali Shaikh, Director of Health Services Karachi.

Dr. Shaikh addressed the alarming rise of obesity worldwide, highlighting Pakistan’s role in combating this growing concern. The expert panel then delved into key areas for managing obesity. This included mindful eating habits, like prioritizing whole grains and fresh produce over processed foods and added sugars.
