Addressing a captivated audience of scholars, administrators, and eager minds, Dr. Ismail, accompanied by the esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Nassar Ikram, delved into the heart of Pakistan’s challenges and prospects under the theme “Reimagining Pakistan: Embracing a Future of Infinite Possibilities.”
Drawing from a wealth of experience, Dr. Ismail illuminated the stark realities of Pakistan’s economic landscape, where systemic deficiencies continue to hamper progress. He minced no words in highlighting the sobering truth that a nation cannot thrive when a significant portion of its youth languishes in illiteracy and malnutrition. “A country cannot flourish when its future—our children—are denied the basic tools to thrive,” he asserted, his words resonating with urgency.
Dr. Ismail, alongside luminaries such as Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Mustafa Nawaz Khokar, laid the cornerstone for change with the inception of the “Reimagining Platform,” a visionary initiative aimed at catalysing transformation across Pakistan.
