IU ORIC Advances Academia–Industry Integration through Faculty Industry Placement Program – Phase 4.0
Building on its ongoing efforts to align academia with industry needs, the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) at IQRA University successfully implemented Phase 4.0 of the Faculty Industry Placement Program (FIPP) through structured, outcome-driven engagements across diverse sectors.
This phase focused on identifying critical gaps between academic training and industry expectations, with emphasis on practical exposure, industry-relevant curriculum enhancement, and research collaboration. Faculty placements enabled direct engagement with leading organizations, generating actionable insights to align teaching, research, and student development with real-world demands.
A key highlight of FIPP 4.0 was the development of targeted recommendations across disciplines, including integration of hands-on training, live industry projects, digital tools, clinical exposure, and emerging technologies such as AI, data analytics, and fintech. The program also emphasized structured internships, mentorship models, and portfolio-based learning to enhance student employability.
Significant progress was made in strengthening sustainable partnerships, including proposed MoUs, joint research initiatives, industry-led workshops, and collaborative training programs. These engagements are expected to facilitate evidence-based practices, applied research, and continuous professional development for both academia and industry.
Through FIPP 4.0, IU ORIC reinforced its commitment to producing industry-ready graduates, strengthening research impact, and building long-term, meaningful collaborations that contribute to innovation and societal advancement.
