IU ORIC teams up with industery leaders to drive innovation!
Iqra University’s Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) took a significant step towards fostering industry collaboration by holding its 2nd Steering Committee Meeting on May 18th, 2024.
The meeting, chaired by Vice Chancellor Dr. Nassar Ikram, brought together a distinguished group of industry leaders on a hybrid platform. These included Mr. Ali Syed (CEO of The Designer), Mr. Muhammad Asif Iqbal (Managing Director of SPDC), Mr. Muhammad Nouman Khan (GM of K Electric), Mr. Shamsul Islam Khan (Former Vice President of KCCI), Ms. Dr Farah Essa Zaidi (Director Essa Laboratory and Diagnostic Centre), alongside IU Deans and Directors.
ORIC manager Zareesh Zahra presented a comprehensive review of ORIC’s progress and exciting new initiatives to strengthen the vital link between industry and academia. Industry partners acknowledged the potential of Iqra University Projects, and new opportunities were offered for students to commercialize their products.
Iqra University extends its gratitude to the esteemed industry representatives for joining the ORIC Steering Committee. This collaboration promises to be a driving force in propelling innovation and entrepreneurship at the University.
