Advancing Research Excellence: IQRA University ORIC 11 th Steering Committee Meeting
IQRA University successfully held its 11th ORIC Steering Committee Meeting on March 12, 2026, conducted online in line with HEC’s Austerity Measures. The meeting was chaired by the Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nassar Ikram and brought together distinguished members of the Steering Committee, including Mr. Shamsul Islam (Former Vice President KCCI), Mr. Asif Iqbal (Managing Director, SPDC), Mr. Syed Shujaat Ali (CEO, The Designers), Dr. Arshad Aziz (Dean FEST), Prof. Dr. Ali Raza (Director North Campus), Dr. Sameer Qazi (Director ORIC), Manager IU CORE, Mr. Umair Ahmed Khan, and Ms. Rabab Saeed.
During the session, Dr. Sameer Qazi presented an overview of the remarkable achievements of IQRA University researchers, highlighting national and international funded research projects, startup performance, intellectual property development, participation in global research conferences, and the national and international recognition earned by IU scientists.
The meeting also reviewed the Annual Research Progress for 2025, documented through the IU ORIC newsletters, which were widely circulated across the country to showcase the university’s research excellence.
The Steering Committee members expressed strong confidence in the consistent and progressive research performance of IQRA University, appreciating the strategic leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nassar Ikram in advancing the university’s research ecosystem.
