A year of growth, academic progress, and new beginnings marked a significant milestone for Iqra University Hyderabad Campus as it celebrated its first anniversary under the theme “The First of Many.” Held on October 26, 2026, the celebration brought together university leadership, distinguished guests, faculty, and staff to reflect on thecampus's journey, achievements, and aspirations for the future.
Established in August 2025 and officially inaugurated in October 2025, the campus has witnessed remarkable progress, tripling its student body within its first year and strengthening its presence in Hyderabad's higher education landscape.
Celebrating a Year of Growth and Achievement
The anniversary celebration was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Syed Waseem Hussain, Member of the National Assembly (MNA); Prof. Dr. Nassar Ikram, Vice Chancellor, Iqra University; Ms. Imaan Hunaid Lakhani, daughter of the late Mr. Hunaid Lakhani; and Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Hussain, Campus Director, Iqra University Hyderabad Campus.
The occasion highlighted the institution's commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the enduring legacy of education. University leadership reflected on the campus's progress, recognizing the collective dedication behind its achievements and reaffirming a shared vision for continued growth.
Advancing Academic Excellence and Student Development
A significant academic milestone was the introduction of two new programmes for the Spring semester: BS Artificial Intelligence, under the Faculty of Engineering, Science and Technology (FEST), and MS Computer Science. These programmes reflect the university's focus on future-ready education and preparing students for emerging opportunities in technology.
Beyond academics, the campus expanded opportunities for practical learning through its SKILL UP initiative, including the Freelance Excellence Program. Workshops covering leadership, personal development, AI prompt engineering, coding, and fashion further encouraged skill development and student engagement.
The campus also supported collaborative learning and leadership development as a venue partner for GDMUN and IDMUN, creating opportunities for students to explore interests beyond the classroom.
Building a Legacy for the Years Ahead
The first anniversary reflected more than a year of institutional progress. It celebrated the people, dedication, and shared vision shaping the Hyderabad Campus's future.
With modern classrooms, a hardware laboratory, an IRC/library, a gymnasium, a medical centre, and a media studio, the campus continues to provide an environment that supports academic learning and personal development.
As Iqra University Hyderabad Campus enters its second year, “The First of Many” represents a commitment to expanding educational opportunities, achieving new milestones, and building a lasting legacy for generations to come.
