Biography

Syeda Yamna is an experienced Computer Science Lecturer and Researcher with over four years
in academia. Known for creating OBE-aligned course materials and integrating real-world
applications in her teaching, she teaches courses such as Programming Fundamentals, Data
Structures, and Operating Systems. Previously, she served as a Research Associate at FAST,
where she contributed to an AI-based Personalized E-Learning project funded by the National
Center for Artificial Intelligence, conducting impactful research in machine learning and e-
learning systems, with her work published in IEEE Xplore.

She holds an MS in Computer Science, with a thesis on early prediction of student performance
in blended learning environments, and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Hamdard
University. Her technical expertise includes programming languages (C, C++, Python, SQL),
machine learning tools (TensorFlow, Keras), and data analysis software (SPSS, Power BI). Her
projects include COVID-19 Data Visualization, YouTube Data Analysis with Hadoop, and a
computer vision project on eye-tracking for human-computer interaction.
An active participant in professional development, she has completed training on publishing in
high-quality journals and IEEE Open Access and received a USD 5,000 award in the BuiltByHer
STEM hackathon for digital education innovation. She is dedicated to creating a student-
centered, engaging learning environment and is passionate about contributing to the progress
of digital education.
