Biography

Sumera Mehmood is a dedicated educator and PhD researcher based in Karachi, Pakistan, whose academic journey spans a diverse array of qualifications and experiences. Holding a Master’s in Finance from KASBIT, she possesses a deep understanding of financial principles and practices. Complementing her finance expertise, she pursued an MBA from Virtual University and an MA in Economics from Karachi University, broadening her scope of knowledge in business and economic theory.

Her educational pursuits extend beyond traditional disciplines, with an M.Ed. from the National University of Modern Language, reflecting her commitment to pedagogical excellence.In addition to her formal education, Sumera has continually augmented her skill set through professional certifications and courses. Notable among these are Accounting Fundamentals for Decisions from IBA and Human Resource Management from Bahria University, underscoring her commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.

In her pursuit of knowledge, Sumera has actively engaged in research endeavors, contributing significantly to the academic community. Her research interests encompass diverse topics such as investor behavior, financial literacy, and sustainable development. Notable publications include works exploring the impact of overconfidence and past investment experiences on investor behavior, as well as the role of green finance and technology in achieving sustainable development goals.
