My research interests lie primarily in the field of filmmaking, with a particular focus on understanding the profound impact of film on society and culture. I am deeply fascinated by the narrative power of cinema and its ability to influence public perception, shape cultural identities, and drive social change. My PhD research delves into these dynamics, exploring the multifaceted effects of film on audiences and its role as a medium for storytelling and communication. Through my work, I aim to contribute to the academic discourse on film studies, offering insights into the ways films reflect and affect the human experience.
I am a result-driven, self-motivated, and resourceful individual, seeking new responsibilities irrespective of reward and recognition. My educational journey reflects a deep commitment to the field of media and communication, with a strong emphasis on film studies and higher education teaching. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Media Communication with a specialization in Film Studies from Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU), which I began in the spring of 2020. Concurrently, I am engaged in a Fellowship in Higher Education Teaching from Advance HE, UK, since 2022.
Prior to this, I completed a Diploma in Higher Education Teaching from South California (South Cal) University in the United States from 2018 to 2020. My academic foundation in media sciences was laid with an MS from IQRA University, specializing in Film and Advertising, achieved between 2009 and 2011. Complementing this, I hold an MBA in Media Management from the Pakistan Air Force – Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology (PAF-KIET), completed in 2008-2009, and a BBA in Marketing with a specialization in Advertising from the same institution, earned from 2005 to 2008.
My early academic pursuits included a Higher Secondary Certificate in Pre-Engineering from Marsons College, completed between 2002 and 2004, and a Secondary School Certificate in Science from ST. Paul’s English High School, where I studied from 1992 to 2002. This diverse educational background has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of media, communication, and educational methodologies, driving my passion for continuous learning and professional development.
