“Dr. Sobia Hasan is a dedicated professional with a wealth of experience, currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Iqra University, Karachi. Holding a Master of Philosophy degree in Physical Therapy from Ziauddin University, she is a member of the Pakistan Physical Therapy Association.
Dr. Sobia is a globally certified expert, having obtained qualifications such as Australian Certified Sports Trainer, UK Certified Dry Needling Practitioner, Exercise Physiologist, and Consultant Physical Therapist. Her academic pursuits include ongoing Ph.D. studies, reflecting her commitment to advancing her field.
In addition to her academic roles, Dr. Sobia has expanded her knowledge through various certifications. She is certified from the University of Toronto in “”Managing Your Health: Role of Physical Therapy,”” the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in “”Diabetes: The Essential Facts,”” and the Institute of Polytechnique de Paris, France, in “”How to Write and Publish Scientific Papers.”” Furthermore, she has completed the Research Capacity Building Program for Researchers certified by Pak Education Gateway UK HEC.
Dr. Sobia Hasan’s contributions extend beyond the classroom, as she actively engages in research and has presented at national and international conferences. Her publications in the fields of Physical Therapy and Medicine demonstrate her commitment to advancing knowledge and best practices.
In addition to her academic and research pursuits, Dr. Sobia privately practices as consultant physical therapist and collaborates with prestigious institutions such as Aga Khan Hospital and volunteers her expertise at Markaz-e-Umeed. This combination of academic excellence, practical experience, and community engagement underscores Dr. Sobia Hasan’s multifaceted commitment to the field of Physical Therapy and healthcare.”

Area of Expertise

Dr. Sobias research contributions are substantial, with 10published articles and 2 accepted articles to her credit. Notable studiesinclude investigations into the effects of Myofascial Release on lower backpain, correlations between clinical tests and lumbago, and the impact ofaerobic programs on dysmenorrhea severity. Her work extends to diverse areassuch as patellofemoral pain syndrome, Cardiac Rehabilitation, plantar fasciitismanagement, and the role of physiotherapy in diabetic patients.

She actively participates as a guest speaker in various nationaland international events, demonstrating her commitment to knowledgedissemination and community engagement. Invited to conduct workshops andwebinars on topics ranging from basic life support to the impact of climatechange on human health, Dr. Sobias expertise is recognized beyond her academicand clinical roles.

Dr. Muhammad Shahnawaz Adil

Dr. Muhammad Shahnawaz Adil is an Associate Professor of Leadership and Strategic Management at Iqra University, Karachi. He holds more than 17 years of full-time university teaching, research, mentorship, and graduate thesis supervision experience. Additionally, he has been serving as the Cluster Head (Management) since January 2020 at the Main Campus. He is currently a member of the advisory and review boards of 18 national and international scholarly journals. 

He has presented various research ideas at international conferences abroad and has published over 25 research papers in national and international journals with 700+ Google citations. He has also authored a monograph on Leadership and Strategy published in Germany. He is an HEC-approved PhD supervisor and five Ph.D. candidates are going to complete their doctoral thesis under his sole supervision. In addition to supervising several industrial projects, 32 MPhil and hundreds of MBA students have successfully passed their research thesis in the Management discipline under his sole supervision. His research interests include the dark side of leadership, workplace mistreatment, multilevel modeling, and creative performance in higher education. He completed a ten-day comprehensive Training of Trainers conducted by Sindh HEC in May 2023.

Dr. Shahnawaz earned his Ph.D. degree in Management from an AACSB and AMBA-accredited business school of Malaysia in 2021. Earlier, he received his MPhil from Iqra University, a ‘triple-crown’ (AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS-accredited) MBA from Newcastle University (UK), Postgraduate Diploma from Stratford College London (UK), and B.Sc. (Honours) with Distinction from London Metropolitan University, UK. He has secured seven consecutive distinctions in his academic career and has clinched First Class First Position at Sindh Board of Technical Education. He has been associated with Iqra University as a permanent faculty member in the Department of Business Administration since August 2008. His main hobbies include horse-riding, playing scrabble, cooking, bird-farming, and long driving.
