I am a dynamic and accomplished professional with a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the renowned International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) at the University of Karachi, Pakistan. With a robust foundation in academia and research, I have consistently demonstrated a self-driven, goal-oriented approach throughout my career. My academic journey includes obtaining a Pharm-D degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Karachi. Subsequently, my pursuit of knowledge led me to achieve a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from ICCBS. Having served as a Research Fellow at ICCBS from July 2015 to May 2022, I actively engaged in diverse research projects, specializing in primary cortical and hippocampal cell cultures. My responsibilities extended to planning and designing research protocols, maintaining labs adhering to ISO standards, and collaborating with fellow researchers on various projects.
Transitioning into academia, I joined Iqra University, North Campus, Karachi, Pakistan, initially as a Lecturer from March 2023 to September 2023 and subsequently earning the position of Assistant Professor from October 2023 onwards. In this role, I am responsible for delivering lectures, conducting practical sessions, and contributing to curriculum development at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, I actively participate in establishing a molecular research laboratory within the university. Prior to my teaching role, I served as a Quality Control Executive at Dow Institute of Life Sciences, Dow University of Health Sciences, OJHA Campus, Karachi, from June 2022 to February 2023. In this capacity, I conducted stability testing of biologicals, developed stability protocols and SOPs, and validated analytical methods for biologicals.
In summary, my multifaceted career reflects a harmonious blend of academic prowess, research excellence, and a passion for contributing to the field of Pharmacology. I am poised to continue making significant contributions to both academia and research in the future.
