Revolutionizing Higher Education (ICRHE 26)

Transforming Education for the Future (Education Beyond the 21st Century)

Preamble

The ICRHE 2026 aims to invite discussion on transforming education for the future, beyond the 21st century. This forum invites stakeholders, including students, educators, professionals, policymakers, parents and researchers, to share evidence-based best practices & research, their outcomes and associated challenges of education in the 21st century as well as consider the transformation of future education.

Research informs us that the 21st century provides opportunities to add innovative dimensions and new trends to education. A great emphasis on creativity and critical thinking and the integration of technology provides students with opportunities to not only receive knowledge in advanced ways but also discover connections and explore innovations and develop solutions to learning problems.

With these opportunities come numerous challenges, such as the escalating environmental crises, a decline in the habit of lifelong learning, increasing social isolation, and the lack of prioritization of values and feelings over relationships – all of which contribute to anxiety and depression leading to mental health issues.

Research indicates that one in four adolescent experience mental health issues. Among youth between 15 and 19 years, suicide is the second leading cause of death among youth. A recent study conducted in Pakistan on 400 high school adsolescents found that 53% are experiencing depression and anxiety. This alarming situation underscores the need for a scholarly event where stakeholders can collaboratively explore the educational challenges and outcomes of the 21st century, as well as consider future educational frameworks.
