Learning Outcomes
- Comprehensive understanding of the scientific principles and concepts of food science and technology.
- Ability to apply scientific knowledge to food systems including various aspects of food production, preservation, processing, food safety, sensory evaluation, quality control, and product development.
- Proficiency in the laboratory techniques, research and development including design, execute, and analyze experiments in food science laboratories and use various techniques to analyze and test food samples.
- Awareness of Ethical and Social Issues in Food Science related to food production, such as sustainability, food security, and consumer health, and be able to apply their knowledge to make informed decisions.
- Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills, through increased subject knowledge, allows you to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems in the food industry.
- Graduates will be able to communicate scientific information effectively, both in written and oral forms, to different stakeholders in the food industry, such as consumers, regulators, and industry professionals.
