Code of Academic Integrity

Integrity is expected of every student in all academic work. The guiding principle of academic integrity is that a student’s submitted work must be the student’s own. Students engaging in academic dishonesty undermine their education and bring discredit to the academic community. Students shall not violate the Code of Academic Integrity and shall avoid situations which are likely to compromise academic integrity.

The Code of Conduct prohibits all forms of academic dishonesty, including cheating, fabricating results, facilitating academic dishonesty, plagiarism (using someone’s work without citing a reference), modifying academic work for additional credit after the work has been submitted to the supervising faculty member unless the supervising faculty member approves such alterations, etc. All cases of Code of Conduct violation are forwarded to the disciplinary committee and duly penalized.
