Zareesh Zehra is a dedicated, versatile, and forward-thinking professional with over a decade of experience in academia, media, R&D, intellectual property, technology transfer, and institutional development.
At IQRA University’s ORIC, Zareesh leads initiatives in research development, grant management, IP protection, technology transfer, commercialization, research governance, and industry–academia collaboration. Having previously been among the pioneers of SZABIST ORIC, Zareesh brings valuable experience in institutional development and research commercialization. At IQRA University, Zareesh has helped establish the institutional IP ecosystem from the ground up, facilitating over 100 IP applications, while strengthening research capacity, supporting funded R&D projects, and fostering strategic partnerships.
Zareesh’s expertise has been further strengthened through the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), representing Pakistan alongside 20 international professionals to explore U.S. best practices in IP protection, patenting, licensing, technology transfer, and innovation ecosystem development.
With an M.Phil. and professional experience at GEO, ARY Digital, and Dawn News, Zareesh brings an interdisciplinary perspective to research and innovation. Zareesh is committed to bridging research, innovation, intellectual property, and industry to translate academic knowledge into practical solutions and meaningful impact.
