Honouring the spirit of courage, service, and sacrifice, Iqra University marked Pakistan Defence Day with a
commemorative event organized by the Iqra University Student Societies in collaboration with the Directorate of
Youth Affairs Sindh and Professional Youth Foundation of Pakistan. The event brought together distinguished guests,
students, and members of the university community to reflect on the significance of Defence Day and the values it
represents.

The event paid tribute to the courage, resilience, and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces. It provided students with
an opportunity to reflect on the importance of service and the contributions of those who have dedicated themselves to the nation.
Distinguished Guests and Shared Reflections
The occasion was honoured by the presence of Vice Admiral Shah Sohail Masood, HI(M), Air Vice Marshal Usaid
Ur Rehman Usmani, SI(M), Brigadier General Syed Karar Hussain Shah, Ms. Irum Tanveer, Director General PID,
Munawar Ali Mahesar, Secretary Youth and Sports, and Saima Agha, Parliamentary Secretary MPA.
Their presence added significance to the occasion and provided students with an opportunity to engage with distinguished representatives and reflect on the enduring values associated with national service.
