IU students were invited by Yunus Textile Mill in recognition of Ranked 1 University of Sindh for an in-house training session on topic “Employability and Managerial Skills” on Feb 2, 2012.
Ms. SulihaNazar, Assistant Manager Corporate Communication,conducted the training, it was an interactive& activity based session and every student was asked to take part in the training. Students were provided with case study on “Conflict Management”.
The first part, i.e. “EMPLOYABILTY” has an essence to provide students with an idea that how they can present themselves to a prospective employer after their Graduation, the way a marketer sells its product as a brand. What strategies should they follow to create Unique Selling Preposition, how they stand out among all other candidates in the job Market.
The session progressed after letting students know the skills to sell themselves with their USP, with most important oneHow to get an interview call”.
Half of the battle is won if first step is in right direction.  The second part of training was about “MANAGARIAL SKILLS” the topics covered in that fragment were:

  • Do’s Don’ts of Resume
  • Interview Skills
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Communication Skills
  • Decision Making
  • Leadership Skills
  • Seal the deal Skills

An eight hour long session has been divulging to the students with the knowledge and practical exposure of the corporate world. After the completion of the training, the CEO gave a “Thank you” note to the IU Management and presented students with the training certificates.
